At Ashleigh Farm Caravan and Glamping we want to make everyone's stay as enjoyable as possible, and are committed to providing suitable access for all our guests, whatever their individual needs. We aim to accurately describe our facilities and services to give you the confidence to book the right caravan pitch or glamping unit for your specific requirements.

Level Access

Caravan Site

  • Visitors are able to pull off the road, up to the main gate with car and caravan or motorhome and tow car without blocking the highway.
  • The site is all on one level with 3 large hardstanding pitches and up to five undefined grass pitches allowing you to pitch your caravan in whatever way suits you.
  • The driveway is gravel but assistance is always available should you require it.
  • There is level access from the caravan pitches to:
    • A fully disabled (DocM) ‘wet room’ bathroom with accessible toilet and wash basin; with walk in double waterfall shower, grab rails and full turning circle;
    • Water, grey waste and chemical waste disposal points;
    • General waste and recycling waste bins;
    • Level paved seating area with coffee table adjacent to the children’s play area
  • Automatic lighting throughout the driveway and bathroom area, including inside the bathrooms.
Level Access

Glamping units (Witch Huts and Bell Tents)

  • Off road parking is available for all visitors to the glamping units.
  • Glamping units are usually accessed up a gravel driveway and across the field (approx. 130m) with slight slopes to navigate. Alternative access can be arranged on request across grass only (approx. 80m). Assistance is always available should you require it.
  • The site is all on one level with 2 witch huts and 2 bell tents, generously spaced apart with short mown grass for ease of access.
  • There is level, but slightly uneven and sloping access from the glamping units to:
    • A fully disabled (DocM) ‘wet room’ bathroom with accessible toilet and wash basin; with walk in double waterfall shower, grab rails and full turning circle;
    • Drinking water tap;
    • General waste and recycling waste bins;
    • Level paved seating area with coffee table adjacent to the children’s play area.
  • Automatic lighting throughout the driveway and bathroom area, including inside the bathrooms.
  • Solar lighting illuminates walkways around the glamping area.
  • Accessibility of witch huts:
    • Witch huts are accessed using three small steps
    • The double bed is accessed via a short ladder and is suitable for both children and adults
    • Single beds are at floor level and are suitable for both adults and children
  • Accessibility of bell tents:
    • Bell tents have a small decking area at the entrance, one of which has level access, whilst the other has a slight step. There is then a step across the threshold into the tent;
    • Inside the bell tent is all on one level;
    • Furniture can be moved around, upon request, to accommodate any need.
Glamping Accomodation
  • All glamping units are smoke and pet free
  • All bedding and blankets are freshly washed for each arrival and beds are made ready for visitors arrival

Caravan pitches are considered suitable for:

  • Older and less mobile guests
  • Part-time wheelchair users
  • Assisted wheelchair users
  • Visually impaired guests
  • Young families
  • Staff are available 24 hours a day.

Glamping units are considered suitable for:

Travel by public transport

  • You can get to Ashleigh Farm Caravan and Glamping by the number 100 bus that runs hourly between Gainsborough and Lincoln.
  • The nearest bus stop is at the top of the road, approx. 200m from the site.
  • The nearest train station is Gainsborough Lea Road. The train station is 5 miles Ashleigh Farm and there is a bus stop where the number 100 bus stops immediately outside the train station.

Travel by taxi

  • You can get a taxi from Gainsborough with PeterK Cars by calling (01427) 238328.
  • You can get a taxi from Lincoln with Handsome Cabs by calling (01522) 545352. The taxi company has a wheelchair accessible vehicle.
Parking
  • Caravan site users are able to site their car adjacent to their caravan or motorhome.
  • We have a car park with spacious spaces for those with mobility issues. Parking is approx. 80m from the glamping units. Parking is free.
  • There is a drop-off point at the main entrance. The drop-off point has a dropped kerb.
  • From the car park to the entrance, there is level access, however this is across a gravel driveway. Staff are available to support 24hours a day.

  • From the street to the main entrance, there is level access across a paved pathway.
  • The path is 1080mm wide, or more.
  • The path is level.

Main entrance to caravan and glamping field

  • The main entrance has level access across a gravel driveway.
  • There is access across grass by prior arrangement for the glamping units.
  • The hand gates are 3ft/920mm wide.
  • The driveway gates are 12ft/3666mm
  • All gates are manually operated.
  • When you arrive, we can help carry your luggage.
  • A four wheeled trolley is available on request to transport luggage.
Getting around inside
Witch Huts
  • Both Witch Huts have front and rear windows.
  • Both Witch Huts have two solar powered lights.
  • Both Witch Huts are non-smoking.
  • Both Witch Huts are pet free
  • From the main entrance to this area, there is level or sloping access across a gravel driveway and short-mown grass field.
Bell Tents
  • Both Bell Tents two side windows and front and rear doors.
  • Both Bell Tents have two solar powered lights and a central battery powered light that can be charged on the solar power pack.
  • Both Bell Tents are non-smoking.
  • Both Bell Tents are pet free
  • From the main entrance to this area, there is level or sloping access across a gravel driveway and short-mown grass field.
